Yreka Sunrise Scenes  2011

I departed Canyonville Oregon at about 4:00 AM and drove south along I-5, on my way back to the San Francisco Bay area.  That put me in the N. California town of Yreka just as the sun was coming up.  Great time to stop, have a cup of coffee at the small service station in the foreground of the first photo, and take a couple of photos of the beautiful sunrise.

Descending from the north into the Yreka valley, Mt. Shasta looms large in the south

There are a lot of ranches around Yreka.  This equipment appears to have been abandoned
